Bizu

A lot of my clients and friends know that my second home is a quaint and fancy restaurant in Promenade, Greenhills, called Bizu. The main reason why I’m always there is that there’s free wi-fi, great coffee, and fantastic sweets. Their main courses are a bit pricey but this is an excellent place to kick back, relax, and have cake-coffee.

Full review of Bizu after the break.

I think I’ve tried the entire menu already of Bizu. Before I get to the food though I think my first major compliment is the customer service and the ambiance of the place. In terms of service, the waiters are all courteous and very professional. They deliver orders on time and they have no problems carrying a conversation if you’re up for some chit-chat. In terms of cleanliness, the place is very tidy and classy. I love the seats and the tables that they use here. I can literally spend hours in one corner having coffee, sweets, and blogging away on my Macbook powered by their free wi-fi.

In terms of the food, let me start with my all-time favorite: their shrimp bisque soup. The common problem with Shrimp Bisque served by a lot of restaurants is that it doesn’t really have any shrimp in it and that it’s very expensive. At Bizu, you can get the soup for P165 and it has a lot of shrimp. The taste is very rich, smooth, and soothing. I usually spend afternoons here having the soup partnered with Coke Zero. Ah, heaven, haha!

Bizu Nirvana Cake

In terms of sweets, my favorites include their Nirvana Cake and the bite-size Roca. The Nirvana is one of their best sellers for a very good reason. It looks plain from the outside but it’s actually an explosion of flavor in the inside (naks). The bite sized Roca is also superb. It’s like the expensive Ferrero candies that you buy from 7-11 but much more refined and definitely more delicious. Note that I don’t recommend the Roca cake though – only the bite sized versions are good.

In terms of main courses, there’s only a few dishes to pick from but most of them are all heavenly. The 10-hour roast beef is my favorite but it costs around P580. Very slender and soft roast beef… yummeh. Partner that with mashed potatoes and you have a knock out combo right there!
