I checked out your blog just to see if there's any good reviews about Pancake House..I guess not. I really don't care about this restaurant except for the occassional pan chicken cravings... I say it is a fast food resto masquerading as a fine dining place. Great food, really.. I especially like the salad with smoked tanguigue.. I even am very curious about theis baby back ribs.. and the burger... But with their prices, I sure can live many years without ever tasting their offerings...

For Burgers, Please have a try in Charlie's Burger and Grill. The place is quite hidden, it's beside a carwash in kapitolyo Pasig near the "Three Sisters" resto. Their Beef Angus burger sells for 175 pesos, Just add 20 to have fresh fries on the sides. I personally think that they're good but It's interesting to know what you think. I hope you can consider. :)

Too expensive and small servings make a second visit to any restaurant unlikely. That's what happened with me and Pancake House.

One morning my Dad, Sister and I, went to Blue Wave Mall, Marikina for breakfast. We had a choice between KFC, Jollibee and Pancake House. My Dad said "Dito naman. Hinde pa tayo kumakain dito" and we ended up in Pancake House. Right after we got seated a waiter gave us menus. My Dad almost bolted for the door when he saw the prices on the menu but pride and “hiya” got the better of him. My Dad ordered a Pancake Stack, I ordered a Sausage Platter, and my Sister ordered a salad (I think? I’m not sure, but anyway). It took 30 minutes for our orders to arrive. When we finally got our order I whispered to my Dad, “Ito lang ba?” My sausage platter felt like a sausage “platito.” It had four tiny balls of sausage, smaller than Ping-Pong balls, and two almost raw sunny-side-up eggs. I returned the platter and asked for cooked eggs. It took 10 more minutes before my plate returned. My dad liked the pancakes fine but complained about the coffee they serve with it. My guess is he’s not used to brewed coffee. My sister, as she often does, takes some of my food, making my Sausage Platter that smaller. The final blow came when we billed out. As expensive as the prices on the menus are they weren’t tax inclusive plus they add a 10% service charge on top of the total. Dad paid, we left and never returned.

Food tasted great but servings are too stingy and considering the price, Pancake House definitely deserves a one (1) on DISH PRICES VS QUALITY.
