Your review is awful. For a food critic, you have a very limited way of looking at food. If you were a serious food critique, you’d research on Sonya’s Garden first before you went there. If you did your research through their website, you will know that they serve the same set meal for lunch and dinner. To think you named your blog “pinoyfoodcritic.” I think you should change that. You trash it because of your food preference, well you shouldn’t have made a review about it at all. I’m not affiliated with Sonya’s Garden, but I love their food and I love the place. I am really appalled by this article.

hi!m planning to spend my bday at sonya’s wd my bter half and my treat i thot of treating hm to try hw fresh and tasty deir fud since i heard a lot of gud fid backs abt ds place m planning 4 an ovrnyt bt aftr readin ur review kinda dsappointing and havin a 2nd thot,bt maybe i cn stil try tho since wer both nature lover and crave for real fresh fuds.tnx btw,wats ur unforgettable place or d place u rili love and u kip comin bak,i myt give it a try

That’s exactly what Sonya’s is, a place to eat fresh healthy food, relax, and enjoy. The menu has never changed, except maybe for breakfast if you go to the B&B, but people keep coming back. Its not a place you to eat every day, but you go out there once in a while and eat something really good. I’ve been back there almost 10 times and will keep on going back. BTW it is eat all you can, if you can We love the salad and the breads. They had shrimp at the start but swapped it with Salmon belly which is well a bit oily but its that Omega 3 kind of healthy thing, though not my preference. If you love to eat meat and only meat you will never like this place ofcourse. They have to be doing something right if the place is always packed on weekends.

Hi Ms. Carla,

If your boyfriend enjoys salad then you can still go to Sonya’s. I trashed this place in the review mainly because of my food preference. I also don’t like the fact that there’s no menu and you just have to accept what they give you.

It can still be a good romantic get-away if you will stay there overnight and enjoy the spa services that they offer.

Just eat somewhere else. Or, stay somewhere else in Tagaytay like Boutique Hotel or Discovery Country Suites, eat at Leslie’s, and then have a massage at Sonya’s.

really?? its the first time i read about a not-so-good review on Sonyas. Maybe bec. the ones i browsed were paid articles.. Thanks for being honest. I even thought of bringing my boyfriend and my friends here but I guess I just have to bring them somewhere else… thnks so much

Hi tita! Actually tito Mike (mich’s dad) complained about that. Apparently the food that they’re serving now is the same course that they served a decade ago. No changes. If ever there are, only minor ones.
